Manage Anxiety - 3 selfcare tips

In today's lifestyle, it has become quite common to feel anxious during day-to-day tasks or while  handling stress etc.

3 common ways to take control, in such moments and help yourself are listed below:


A. Diet or food intake

3 tips to choose food habits which help with anxiety issue:

1. Eat a healthy sweet - give that much needed Glucose to the brain



2. Drink water, fresh juice, cold milk or any natural cooling drink




3. Avoid junk food in those hunger pangs - try to give a healthy, home made, light and fresh diet, as best possible.


B. Breathing exercises or 'Pranayama' 

3 'Pranayama' which can be done regularly to help with Anxiety issues:

1. 'Nadi Shodhan' or 'Anulom Vilom' (Alternate nostril breathing)
2. Deep Breathing
3. 'Bhramari' (Humming-bee breathing)

Practice mindfully and repeat cycles for around 15-20 min, twice a day, to get good results.
This can be a regular practice and might bring multiple benefits, over time.


C. Calm yourself down





3 tips to help settle down your thoughts and pacify your mind:

1. Watch your breath - bring your attention back to the breath along with reciting some powerful mantra / shloka/ God's name or any words of wisdom, that help you
2. Write down your thoughts - give around 15-20 minutes to scribble down, whatever comes to your mind. Regular journaling can be a very useful tool.

3. Relaxing music - Listen to some music which makes you destress your mind. You might also participate by playing an instrument, singing or moving along with the rhythm.
