How to retain positive energy for good health?

How to remain positive and happy regularly, using natural ways of mental/emotional health care?

You can stay in a positive space through constant gratitude, love and understanding that everything you're going through is because your soul signed up for it. It's karmic. It is not the easiest thing to begin. But once started and practised, the returns are amazing!


Madhur:
Indian culture especially Hindu traditions,  lifestyle and food are designed with a good thoughtfulness of health of body/mind/spirit. Usually, if someone follows regular schedule of day, starting early morning , doing normal 8 hours work, and spending few hours time with self/family/community , the mental/emotional health shall be taken care of to a good extent.

However,  there are times when some incident causes tension , hurt or anger etc. and disturbs mind.
There are many ways to drain out these emotions and make oneself peaceful again.

One chosen method is to give time to self, doing nothing - no TV, mobile,internet during these hours. Just being with oneself, thinking or writing down your feelings about the incident and trying to understand as a third person for few hours regularly as required. This exercise is immensely helpful in re-assuming calm, normal mindset soon , within few hours or days depending on the issue and associated pain.

During an episode of self blame or feeling low - looking at what is my underlying sickness or difficulty,  really helps to gain peace within. Self compassion is another very important practice for well being.
