Madhur: Food cooked in mud pots is healthier, lighter and of course delicious. When one cooks in metal vessel (steel, iron, aluminum etc..) some metal adds to food as well, which makes it heavier and taste changes too.
Neha: From where do you buy these mud vessels?
Madhur: I purchased from roadside
Richa: Please let me know, how long would it take to cook 'dal' and/ or 'sabzi'? Do you clean it with regular dish washing soap ? Thank you.
Madhur: Hey I started using this couple of times, now.
It took me around 20-30 min each time to cook, depending on vegetable and the quantity of it. By the way, Slow cooked food is healthier.
Generally just rubbing nicely with scrubber does the cleaning and removing any boiled vegetable/spices from mud pot. I also use organic dish wash powder or sometimes regular dish wash liquid soap , if needed to remove oil stains, grease etc.
Neha: On cleaning mud vessels- I had read a good tip. Instead of using soaps - use baking soda and lemon and salt and scrub with coconut skin
